The Echo Layla is a 24 Bit 8 channel PCI Audio Interface that can not be bought anymore new because the manufactures pulled it from the shelves and has put out other products to replace it.
I know how much. Is that different than the Layla3G? That doesn't take into account the extra spdif connector either. Keep in mind that if you are looking for this device that it is no longer being created, they have upgraded it a little while go. I don't know how many tracks I can record simultaneously because I don't record many tracks at the same time.

I get the minimum latency Pipelines Limited. MArwood Max Output Level: She lost a lot of value in a few months. I've tried all possible and visible solutions in all forums that thoughtand nothing worked.

Works perfectly under Win98SE, but depends on the drivers. She has aged a little over the competition. The routing of the card is gorgeous and super easy, a must for me. I had a 3G for many years and darlq it. I use it to record vocals, piano, guitar, percussion and mix.
The internal mixer is convenient. So, what is the consensus? I'd be more concerned about it if I was trying to record bands. If you have a lot of gear, you can have it all hooked up at the same time and never had to unplug anything in order to get new gear hooked up. I'm very satisfied with this product.

It's just the card connections that are getting outdated. When I decided to replace it my main concerns were 1 low price and 2 long-term compatibility.
Maybe they could pressured into releasing a PCIe card. I have dsrla some go online for really cheap recently. The 24/69 Northwest Status: I don't know that I would say Firewire is becoming extinct however, perhaps for the consumer end of audio interfaces but, for the pro market, there are many manufactures that still embrace the interface Presonus, Mackie, Steinberg, MOTU, Avid, Focusrite, Universal Audio, ect Your not likely to find any version of Firewire on a MOBO that will work well with most manufactures products anyway so, you will be buying a separate PCIe adapter board and those are widely available.
You cant beat that. It's perfect for audio playback and recording.
