The DOS software — which can be found on Vogon Drivers — is bare bones but is easy to use and powerful.

Also the wavetable header could not be configured to a useable port number this is done via jumpersthe lowest available was port !

I'm happy with it fss far. I was about to give up and put the SB16 back in when I noticed this humble looking card, ses from a junked Socket 7 machine at some time in the osa and kept because it had a wavetable header: Would change the caps on these though.

Does it work in an 8-bit slot? I have never seen a soundcard that had an internal FM clone available, but that used a separate OPL3 regardless. I also noticed that there are 6 extra pins in addition to the standard bit ISA stuff, you can see them on the bottom left of the card, marked "P4".

At the time I presumed the empty solder pads all over the card had something to do with the wavetable header not working. Yes this has been my experience, the 'ESS AudioDrive' option in most games I've tried will only work with a or based card.

I do believe it's not as compatible as the YMF, though. The on board amp can be turned off easily via jumpers. There osa no material that is knowingly illegal here. Will the highways on the internets become more few?
